What I'm Reading Wednesday - The School of Essential Ingredients

I LOVE to read! Ever since I was a little kid, I would lose myself in the pages of a book. I have been doing a lot of reading recently and figured I would start sharing what I've been reading. I'll warn you now - I read pretty much anything and rarely stick to any one genre or author. If it sounds interesting to me, I read it.
So without further adieu:
I really enjoyed reading this book! I love books and I love food, so it was a perfect fit! :) It follows the life of Lillian, a woman who owns a restaurant and hosts a Monday night cooking class. Lillian doesn't cook in the traditional manner with recipes, she cooks with her soul & teaches her students to cook in the same manner. In the book, we learn about each student in the class and how the class impacted their lives. Although the book was about a group, I loved learning about each student's story and the interplay between the characters and the connection with food. The author's word choices make it seem as if we were participants in the class, I swear there were some moments when I felt like I could actually smell what they were cooking! This was a quick and easy read & an all around good book, I highly recommend it!

What are you reading?
