What I'm readin' Wednesday - Water for Elephants

As with the last few books I've read, I really enjoyed this one as well. It tells the story of Jacob, an old man in a nursing home and his recollections of the year he lost his parents, quit vet school and joined the circus. Once again, the author painted such a vivid mental picture - I had such great pictures in my head. I must admit, I did think the book was a bit sad, as it portrayed a very difficult time period but all in all it was an extremely interesting read. The version I read had pictures from old circuses at the beginning of each chapter which really helped give life to the fictional story. The book is the basis for a movie (due out at the end of April) and I can't wait to see how the storyline is interpreted in the movie.
