February

Despite the lack of posting, February has actually been a pretty busy month! We started off the month by celebrating Joe's birthday. I was pretty proud of the cake I made him - I'm not exactly the best cake icer on the planet but I think it turned out well. My guy sure does love cake though so between this one and the one his coworkers got him, I think he'll be set for awhile.

Our neighbor came over to help celebrate - we had a pretty good time! Joe's holding the Barrel of Monkeys I got him for geocaching. I also got him a Bobble water bottle. I've read a lot about these online & was pretty excited when I found it in Target - Joe's loves water bottles, so it was the perfect gift. I also got him after shave lotion and M&Ms. Can't believe he's another year older - time sure does fly!

We also had a great time celebrating Valentine's day. I got the sweetest package from one of my friends. It was so unexpected and incredibly thoughtful!

The sweetest card, a new book, nail polish, underwear, Valentine themed pot holders, cleaning cloths and lotion! Awesome, absolutely awesome!

Joe and I had a good time celebrating ♥ day as well. I wore a killer red dress that I got an amazing deal on! I had fun decorating the outside of his card with conversation hearts. I bought a big bag at Target which was a big mistake cause I am addicted to these things! I just love them - not good for someone who is trying to cut back on sugar!

I also framed this picture for him. The picture came from a printable that I got online from somewhere (but can't remember where).

This is what my dear husband got me for Valentine's day. A cute plate, chocolates (can't go wrong there), a card and an adorable teddy bear! Love it!

Other than being sick (we both have been trying to fight off colds), the only other thing that is new is...we bought a desk!

Exciting stuff I know. Joe has been saying for a long time that he wanted a flat rectangular service to work on as the two round tables we have just weren't doing it for him, figures! We got it for a steal of a deal at the local Goodwill on Saturday and we really like it. It is really deep, so it's fits all of our stuff perfectly- there is plenty of room. And for all you techies out there - the laptop is from 2003. It's the one I had in college - that thing is a beast, it is super heavy and I can't believe it still runs! It's built to last, I guess!
