Random musings

Things around here have been uneventful but oddly busy. I thought I would have tons of time off now that I am not working, but it seems the opposite is true. My days fill up fast and the time is flying by. Hard to believe little miss (still nameless to us but God knows her name) is due to arrive in 10 days!! Here's a little peak into what we've been up to the past weeks.

• Proudly displaying my "Expectant mother" status at Schofield, after participating in a briefing with Joe.  I was 36 weeks and some odd days pregnant
• Joe is super excited that Monopoly is back at McDonalds!
• I had my first A&W restaurant experience - of course I had to celebrate with a Root Beer Float (in a frosty mug)!
• Joe took Milo to get his nails trimmed and ended up getting him shaved. I hated it at first but now that it's grown out a bit, I think it's cute. 
• My co-workers and I got together for a baby shower/going away luncheon at Chili's. They even convinced one of the doctors to come out & celebrate. It was fun hanging out with everyone.
• Freal milkshakes finally made it to Hawaii! I was beyond excited!
• We saw this crazy painted car in the parking lot of Ihop - it was neat to see all the different images. It was completely covered, I couldn't even tell what kind of car it was!
• At the mall, there are all these displays made out of canned goods. I couldn't resist taking a picture of my hulk with the canned version of The Hulk!
• 37 weeks and some odd days pregnant - time is a flyin'!
• Some of the nurses from work treated me to Ruby Tuesdays - it was so nice to hang out with them outside of work and we ended up staying and chatting for hours!
• We bought a new (to us) car! Still in shock that we traded in my Scion (I loved that car) but so far we are loving our new purchase! It will be perfect for our next duty station!
