Since it's been awhile, since my last post - here's what we've been up to!
- The first weekend in Sept was busy but fun! My friend, N, took me for an amazing manicure/pedicure at a great salon at the North Shore. It was so nice to be pampered and I felt so relaxed! I chose this really pretty pink Zoya color for my fingers, I will definitely get it again - I received so many compliments & even had a lady at the commissary ask me where I got it. The staff there was so nice & I'm hoping to go back before baby is born.
- We had a going away party/baby shower/baby shower with a few of my coworkers at a local tearoom - it was incredible! The decor was fabulous & they even had a Gluten Free menu! We had peach & signature tea - both were so good & I can't wait to go back again! My co-workers were so nice to gift us with some adorable clothes for Baby C!
The next weekend in Sept, my friend N, had a Baby Shower for me but the weekend just wasn't a good weekend for everyone. It ended up being just the two of us but we had a such great time eating good & decorating headbands & barrettes for my little one. She gave me an incredible notebook filled with a ton of useful things to know during Baby's first year (and beyond). She made it herself and I already know it will be super helpful!

- The night before the baby shower that N hosted, the two of us attended a cooking show with Robert Irvine (host of Restaurant Impossible). It was hilarious & a ton of fun! We stuck around to meet him after the show & are so glad we did. He was so kind & was so supportive of our troops. While in line, we stuck up a conversation with another lady, Karrie (who was also expecting, we are even due at the same time) & it was really nice getting to know her and her husband. Her husband stepped away for a bit & when he came back he had brought his wife a bottle of water & an ice cream (haagen daz) bar. She was ecstatic, it was so cute! He then reached into the bag & handed me a bottle of water and an ice cream bar too. I was almost in tears at how thoughtful he was. He said he couldn't let a pregnant woman eat ice cream in front of another pregnant woman, it just wasn't right. :) That random act of kindness made my night & I've actually thought about it a lot since - a little kindness can go a long way.

Me with Chef Irvine
- Joe passed his board! I am so proud of him - he put in a lot of hard work and it really paid off! Of course we went out to celebrate - Outback of course!
- I am a huge fan of these Greek Yogurt bars! Fortunately for me, Joe is not! They kind of taste like astronaut ice cream, kind of, I think I was 6 the last time I tasted astronaut ice cream so I may be a bit off on the comparison but either way, I like 'em!
I've also been really into smoothies recently. I had been craving them for awhile but we didn't have a blender, so it stalled the smoothie-making process. We bought this blender at the Nex & it makes really good smoothies. I had these grand visions of making smoothies once the baby comes but that thing sounds like a trash compactor (it is so loud, it makes me jump), so we might have to see about that! My favorite smoothie is a peach yogurt smoothie.
September sure has been a busy month so far! Can't wait to see what the rest of it holds!

Yay Joe! And just love that you choose Outback to celebrate. Outback trip needs to happen next time we are together :)
