"Two are better than one...."
Ecclesiastes 4:9a

I don't know if you've heard the song "Two is better than one" by Boys Like Girls, but it holds special meaning in my life. We heard it on the radio when we were driving to Pinecliff park where we got engaged. It was the first song we danced to as husband and wife at our wedding and to this day if we hear it on the radio, we turn it up and sing along, probably with goofy smiles on our faces.
We also read this passage from Ruth at our wedding. We didn't know beforehand that we were going to do it, but I absolutely loved that the pastor led us in reading this together. And though I may be far from my family, I'm with my husband and that's all that matters.

"Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me." Ruth 1:16-17.

I love these memories and in the three and a half months that we've been married, their messages ring true now more than ever - two are indeed better than one!
