We started off the weekend with a church picnic with our Young Marrieds group. The guys had such a great time playing football, basketball and frisbee, while the girls had fun hanging out and chatting. It was such a nice day and we had a great time! Joe's wedding ring got lost in all the sports fun :( but we were able to replace it.
After the picnic, we went with a couple to the Dole Plantation where we enjoyed an early dinner & some great company. We then went to the Helemano Plantation (right next to Dole, who knew?) It was super cute and we had a great time posing with all the statues.
We were super excited to go see Brandon Heath at UH Arena that night. The show was put on by one of the local churches and was more like a church service than a concert but we still had a great time! We had great seats but I didn't get any pics, only videos but realized after that there is no sound on any of the videos, oh well. It was pretty cool, they had some hip-hop dancers and even hula during some of the songs. We snapped this pic in the parking garage after entertaining the parking garage attendants with our renditions of Brandon Heath's songs.
Sunday, I spent the day with my new friend Miranda. We woke up super early to head downtown to participate in the March of Dimes. It was chilly and rained on and off but it worked out well as it never got too hot. We talked the entire 5 miles and had such a great time! I was pretty impressed with all the stuff we got at the finish - so much food! We had a blast!
It was a busy but really fun weekend!
