Fall is practically non-existent here in Hawaii so I'm doing my darnedest to make it feel like fall regardless of the 85 degree temps. In a desperate attempt for Faux Fall, I have:- Been lighting my Apple Custard candle almost every day
- Made butterscotch cookies which tasted good despite pulling apart and getting holes in the middle - I followed the Betty Crocker recipe to a "t", so I don't know what happened! My mom makes the best butterscotch cookies, I'll get her recipe next time....
- Can't wait to try these Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins provided I can find pumpkin on the island, it may be a little challenging.... I have a friend who was searching for pumpkin and was only able to find 6 cans on the whole island, due to a shortage! That was a few weeks ago, so I'm hoping they were able to fix this situation as I really want to try the muffins!
- I just saw these on someone else's blog - how did I not know these existed?!? Here's to hoping I can find these Pumpkin Spice kisses too!

And finally, the verse of the day! I love this verse, it is so encouraging and it also makes me think of one of my dear college friends who always quoted it:
"I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think."

You know we're having a pumpkin shortage here too?! Awful! But everything else is turning fall beautifully. Loved your post and the verse~ I love that passage =: ) Love you from 'far and away'!
ReplyDeletewow, i can totally relate, they say fall in Houston is about a week long, and falls somewhere in January... craziness, i too make seasonally inspired things, even though it feels weird to eat them when it's 90* outside. Fun to catch back up - found the link through Charis, i had lost it awhile ago! :)
